Penguin Peloton 2024, end of day 2, start of day 3, raising £50,000 for Penguins Against Cancer.
Update from Charlie: "The riders continued under Azure sky to the delightful London café in Stoke, via the truly picturesque Cannock Chase.
A brief sojourn at the Barton Marina allowed Tony Black Rat Smith to work his magic on a number of misbehaving bike frames to keep the Peloton moving.
The final 15 miles was a combination of steep uphill's which smarted a little with glorious sweeping descents through the majestic Staffordshire countryside.
The flora and fauna were spectacular : pheasants, kites, a hen harrier, cormorants, rabbits, cats, rats, dogs and a pterodactyl (well maybe not).
Swathes of bluebells welcomed us into Stowe and the magnificent Crewe Hall Manor hotel. A sumptuous 3 course dinner with wine was followed by the inestimable Jammin Good duo of Gilly and Gaynor playing classic sing along numbers until the Peloton retired to the bar and bed.
Blackpool here we come!"
